Why is there a waitlist?
  • If the camp that you are interested in is currently full, please join the waitlist for every week that you are available. Last summer, over 90% of families on the waitlist were given the opportunity to come to Camp! When a spot opens, campers on the waitlist will be the first to be contacted.

How do I join a waitlist?
  • Joining a waitlist involves the same steps as enrollment (see “How to Enroll?”). When a spot opens, our registrar will contact you to confirm you would like to take the available spot. Your credit card will only be charged upon accepting a spot.

How much does Camp cost?
  • 80% of campers come to Camp on scholarship! Given this, Camp costs anywhere from $30 to $450 per camper. The cost you pay will depend on your household income, as well as special circumstances.
  • Below are charts based on household income to give you an idea of what scholarship you may receive.

How do I apply for a scholarship?
  • We are committed to making a quality Christian camping experience affordable for you and your family. During enrollment, please complete the scholarship form. See the “How to Enroll?” question for more info.
  • More information about scholarships can be found here.

My camper requires special medical care. Can they come to camp?
  • Your child’s safety is our top priority! We’d love to talk with you to see if we can meet their needs at camp. Campers should be able to participate in a cabin group of eight without needing constant one-on-one staffing. If your child has a medical condition like diabetes, cystic fibrosis, or other health concerns, please call us at (269) 673-6155 so our medical team can discuss how we can support them.

Can my camper take medication while at Camp?
  • Our nursing team will oversee the distribution of all medications to support your camper’s health and well-being. Please add all medications that your camper will need to take to the Health Form during enrollment. All medications, including over the counter, must be turned in at registration. Medications must be in original, labeled containers from the pharmacy.

How does Camp support food allergies?
  • Please include your camper’s food allergies on their Health Form during enrollment. We will do our best to accommodate most allergies. Although care is taken to properly clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment, please note that our facility is not an allergen-free environment.

What is included in the Camper Health Screening?
  • All campers will receive a basic health and wellness check upon arrival (at bus stop or Camp). Camper arrival screening will consist of a lice check (if lice are found, the child will return home), a visual health check and a few questions about your camper is feeling.

What activities do you offer?

How do I communicate with my Camper?
  • EMAIL: Office staff print emails and distribute to campers at mealtimes. Your camper will typically receive emails within 24-48 hours. Emails may be sent to: camper@beechpoint.com.
  • SNAIL MAIL: Please send letters or packages clearly marked with your child’s name to: Camp Beechpoint, 3212 125th Ave, Allegan, MI 49010. Please refrain from sending your campers food, candy, drinks, or snacks.
  • Note: Camp Beechpoint does not permit campers to make or receive phone calls. If an emergency situation arises at home, please call the camp office at (269) 673-6155. Please refrain from visiting your child during the camp week. It is important for the safety of our campers to limit outside visits
  • We will ensure that camper parents/guardians are informed promptly in the following situations:
    • Immediately in the rare and unfortunate event of a camper’s passing.
    • As soon as possible if a camper is admitted to the hospital.
    • Before transporting a camper for urgent or emergency care.
    • The next day if a camper spends the night in the camp health center.
    • As otherwise directed by the camper’s parent/guardian in writing.

Your child’s safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we are committed to keeping you informed.

What is Camp’s Disciplinary Policy?
  • Our goal is for every camper to have a safe and fun week at camp. Misbehavior and bullying are not tolerated at Camp Beechpoint. During enrollment, parents/guardians sign a Camper Behavior Agreement outlining expectations for camper conduct. Campers who are misbehaving will receive a warning from cabin leaders and/or leadership staff. If campers continue to misbehave, the director on duty will call the parent or guardian. If behavior does not improve, campers will be sent home.
  • Additionally, Camp Beechpoint staff are trained in Safety-Care® by QBS, a training program designed to provide staff with the skills needed to prevent, minimize, and manage behavioral challenges while ensuring the safety of all campers.

Do Camp staff have background checks?
  • All Camp staff and volunteers are required to pass a background check. Our staff love Jesus and love youth! Prior to your camper arriving, our staff complete an extensive hiring and training process to ensure a safe and fun summer. Learn more here.

My camper is no longer able to attend. What is your cancellation policy?
  • If your camper is unable to attend the camp session you registered for, please inform Camp as soon as possible. The $30 deposit is non-refundable, except in the rare chance that Camp Beechpoint needs to cancel an event.

Does Camp share photos of my camper?
  • During enrollment, you will be asked if we have permission to share photos of your camper. With your approval, we will be able to share photos of your camper on our social media channels during and after Camp. Due to our limited accessibility to high speed internet at Camp, uploading photos to our social media channels is the easiest way for us to share what is happening at Camp. At this time, we do not have the ability to upload photos to a parent portal. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any questions, please contact Caitlin at communications@beechpoint.com.
